It is commonly known that the skin regenerates itself in the process known as healing, but skin is also constantly regenerating itself on a daily basis by sloughing off old skin cells and exposing a new layer. A deficiency of good hair vitamins like calcium, magnesium, selenium, and zinc are known to affect the body’s epidermal system by causing hair loss, nail breakage, and a host of other dermatological issues.

Zinc was first used thousands of years ago, but the biological role of zinc was not investigated until the end of the 19th century. Zinc plays a primary role in skin health. Insufficient amounts of zinc in the body can result in skin disorders as well as a host of other physical problems such as delayed sexual maturation, and may be responsible for heart disease, epilepsy, schizophrenia, diabetes, and even some brain disorders. Because zinc helps to encourage tissue regeneration, it is effective in reducing blemishes and promoting general skin health.

A diet low in zinc can be enhanced by adding zinc supplements or consuming foods high in zinc. Natural sources of zinc include fish, liver, mushrooms, fortified cereals, shrimp, pumpkin seeds and sunflower seeds. Pregnant women are advised to consume sufficient amount of zinc to prevent birth defects. Many dietary supplements that are currently on the market that advertise their efficacy in the treatment of minor skin, hair and nail disorders list zinc as the primary ingredient.Click nature made vitamin image below to buy.

Aquage Silkening Oil Treatment Review
Product Reviews Great product, April 27, 2010
By (Racine, WI)

I have very dry and frizzy hair and have a cabinet full of products that I have tried and been disappointed. I have tried many products to use prior to using my straightening iron to keep the fuzziness at bay. This product actually works and works until i wash my hair. Most of the time after a couple of hours or a little humidity I am back to the frizz, did not happen with this product.

I have been very happy with the results, it is not summer yet but I am expecting good results even with more humidity. It smells good and I did not need a lot of product. The first time I used the product I used to much which will make your hair look greasy, but you will have to trial it to see how much you need. The only suggestion that I have is that if you have thick hair like I do, separate you hair in layers to get product in the under layers not just on top and comb through all of your hair. I will try some of the other Aquage products to see if they work as well as this one.
